Recently DNA
interviewed the former world chess champion, Garry Kasparov. It is comparatively easy to catch the president of the country and schedule an interview with him
but It is very difficult to get Kasparov's interview. DNA is the only news portal from India who conducted his interview successfully.
Kasparov announced his retirement from professional chess in 2005, he instead chose to devote his time to politics and writing. He formed the United Civil
Front and joined as a member of The Other Russia, a coalition opposing the elected government of Vladimir Putin. Kasparov's ratings achievements include being FIDE rated world no. 1 player and still holding the all time highest rating of 2851. He also holds records for consecutive tournament victories and Chess Oscars. Since his retirement from chess, Kasparov has avoided speaking about the game. But in an exclusive interview to Vijay Tagore, He talks about the game, unification in the chess world, Viswanathan Anand, Kramnik, FIDE, Vladimir Putin etc.
